Bawa Moves to Reset Etsako, Unveils ‘Triple Integration’ Agenda

The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC candidate for Etsako Federal Constituency, Chief Bawa Mohammed Qaleeph, has unveiled a vision to reset the constituency through what he described as a “Triple Integration” agenda, anchored on social, economic and political integration. Bawa disclosed this in Auchi, Etsako West LGA of Edo state during a media interaction with members of the Edo North Online Media Professionals, where he outlined some of his strategies for addressing what he described as the challenges of poor governance and inadequate representation in the constituency. The NDC candidate said his Social Integration agenda would seek to strengthen unity, inclusion and meaningful engagement among the various communities and interest groups across Etsako. He stressed the importance of reconnecting leadership with the people and creating a system of representation in which constituents have a voice in issues affecting their communities. On Economic Integration, Hon Bawa said his vision would focus on creating opportunities, supporting productive activities and promoting initiatives capable of improving the economic wellbeing of the people. He emphasised the need for representation that goes beyond political promises to one that can facilitate tangible opportunities and empower constituents to become more economically productive. The Auchi-born politician also identified Political Integration as a critical component of his proposed agenda, stressing that governance should be participatory, accessible and responsive. He said, if given the opportunity to represent the people of Etsako, he would seek to revive the mentorship approach to governance, through which experienced leaders support, guide and nurture emerging leaders and young people for responsible participation in public affairs. According to him, mentorship would help bridge the gap between generations of leaders while creating a sustainable leadership pipeline for Etsako. He maintained that representation should not be limited to occupying political office, but should also involve building people, developing future leaders and strengthening the capacity of communities to participate effectively in governance. Subtle MEDIA Network reported that the media interaction offered the NDC candidate an opportunity to engage directly with media practitioners and explain his vision for the constituency. His proposed Triple Integration agenda is intended to provide a framework for a more inclusive, economically conscious and people-oriented approach to representation in Etsako Federal Constituency.
